Jonathan Roberts is a former World and US Ballroom Champion and spent seven seasons as a professional on Dancing With the Stars. He's also the owner of this studio. Your lessons are built around your goals and starting point. Your instructor uses the Fred Astaire method to help you work on steps, timing and partnering.

Styles you'll explore

  • Waltz

The classic for a reason: graceful, calm, and kinder to beginners than it looks.

  • Foxtrot

Smooth, easygoing, and made for the music you already love.

  • Tango

Drama and connection: the one that makes you stand taller.

  • Viennese Waltz

The whirling one. Earn it, then never stop.

  • Quickstep

Light, quick, and impossible to do without smiling.

Not sure which is yours? That's what the first lesson is for.

Whatever brought you to ballroom

  • Starting from zero

Private first lesson, simple steps, personal guidance.

  • As a couple

One lesson, both of you: a standing date night with better posture.

  • An event on the calendar

Wedding, gala, cruise: we'll get you floor-ready.

Questions

FAQ

Do I need a partner?

No. Your instructor partners with you, and group classes rotate partners. Many students start solo.

Is ballroom too formal or old-fashioned?

The tuxedo version is on TV. Real lessons are jeans, laughter, and music you know: elegance is the result, not the dress code.

Which dance should I start with?

Usually waltz or foxtrot. Your instructor will match the dance to you at your first lesson.

Do I have to perform or compete?

Only if you want to. Most students dance for life, not trophies.

What do lessons cost?

The current fall offer includes one free private intro lesson for qualifying new students. Future programs are built around your goals and schedule, with exact pricing explained at your intro. Wedding couples have a separate planning consultation.

Every good dancer you've ever watched had a first lesson. Ask about yours.
